There’s something timeless about this rose—its soft, antique yellow tinged with traces of pink around the outermost petals. It feels as though it belongs to another era, weathered gently by memory and light.

I chose a top-down perspective to paint this rose, as I often do, removing distraction, allowing the form itself to become the subject. The spiral of petals draws the eye inward—quietly, insistently—inviting the viewer to linger. It’s a study in aging beauty, in restraint, and in the quiet strength of things that endure.
