This limited edition detail print comes from Bouquet of Peonies, a painting that explores the space between clarity and dissolution. I chose this particular passage for the way it holds so much of the painting’s quiet energy: the mouth of the flower opening inward, the warm shadow tucked inside the petal, and the expressive brushstroke that almost disappears into the surrounding background. There is something intimate in this small moment, a sense of the flower becoming and unbecoming at once. My hope is that it invites the viewer to pause, to soften, and to feel the beauty of something not fully defined but deeply alive.
